Information for Parents/Guardians
"I can't speak highly enough of how great Grampound Road CC are as a club. My child has been welcomed into the GRCC family with open arms. The coaching for them is always fun and engaging and they are so excited to attend training each week. I've even signed up to play for the senior teams this year after not playing for over 15 years!"

This is a typical response from parents whose children have taken up cricket at Grampound Road Cricket Club. Our aim as a club is to offer the opportunity to children of all ages and abilities to learn the game in a safe, positive and friendly environment. You can read more about our club aims and values here.
Training and skills development takes place in a fun and safe environment at the club with the opportunity for competitive cricket for older children. We encourage juniors over 13 to participate in adult matches who are ready and willing in order to develop their skills as well as competing with their peers across Cornwall.
We have experienced England and Wales Cricket Board accredited coaches for our junior players - for more details, see the Coaching page here.
We also offer taster sessions for beginners to allow them to get a feel for the game and the club - full details of membership can be found on the Membership Fees page here.
For information on Safeguarding, see our Safeguarding page here.
For information on junior training times and arrangements, see the Junior Training sub page on the left.
Junior training sessions take place on various weekday evenings during the season (April - September) at the club. Please see the relevant age group Team Pages for more information. Our Junior training is split into different age groups to ensure appropriate skills and development. We offer training for all ages, starting with our Ball Skills, All Stars and Dynamos (for children under age 11), offering a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment for youngsters starting the game early. We offer taster sessions and provide all equipment for such sessions.
All children attending Ball Skills or our ECB initiatives Dynamos and All Stars MUST be registered with the club. For help registering please see our page on Becoming a Roadie.
We encourage parents to support their children from the boundary and to get involved with the club as social or even playing members and to help our junior coaches.
For full details on Junior training times, please see our Training page in our Membership section here.
For details on how to order club kit, please see the Playing Kit section here.
We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
